The 4C of Walt Disney

A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference."

Eeyore (Winnie the Pooh)

Any kid with access to TV knows about Walt Disney! For those who work in a creative industry he is a role model, for designers, coaches and artists he is an inspiration. Disney was a storyteller - and a good one! Not only by using paper and pencil to draw stories, but also when talking to people.

The most used quote is the one about the Disney’s 4C that helps you fulfil your desires: curiosity, confidence, courage and constancy. When I was a kid I grew up with his cartoons and they cemented what my mother was telling me! You need to trust yourself, you have no idea what you can do unless you try it. And if you try and fail, try again until you reach your goal. Have the courage to work to fulfil your dreams, and don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do. Not even your inner voice. Be constant in being kind, polite, fantasise, following what you desire, dream big, travel, discovering and trying new things, getting to know new people.

At 28, I realised that my mother's sayings and Disney movies I was watching as a child were right. I needed to follow my dreams and ACTION was needed for that! So I changed my job several times in one year, I changed industries and I am doing what others at my age were afraid of doing. From a communication specialist in a bank, I became a consultant in Public Relations. I raised funds for NGOs, I was a digital strategist in an IT company, then I became a full-time trainer in several corporations. My curiosity, confidence, courage and constancy made me a better and happier adult. I go to sleep tired, but smiling and fulfilled. Sometimes that's just what your heart needs to pump blood faster and make your head spin with joy.

Does your head spins with joy?
